Julie Forester
☆ THANKS FOR DROPPING BY ☆
From around age eight, I was obsessed with reading, writing, and illustrating my own stories — crafting little books from scratch using scrap paper and card. Unsurprisingly, my Advanced-level subjects at high school included writing, literature, and art.
I have also sought action-packed, thrill-seeking experiences in life, including motorcycle trail riding, stunt riding, stand-up jet skiing, water skiing, RYA advanced powerboat racing, competitive fencing, karate, scuba diving, and flying an aeroplane. I even considered a career as a stunt double!
But, of course, my writing and creative passions continued to take centre stage...
I studied for four years at university in the UK, proud to attain a first-class degree with honours. With the publication of my first book and a series of personal events that made me reevaluate life, I took a leap of faith. I redirected my professional experience and took my editing skills freelance.
I haven't looked back.
Today, my wife and I, along with our rescue cat, Poppy, live outside north of London. We are surrounded by beautiful countryside and a stone’s throw from our friendly, quirky English pub.
Oh, and even though I occasionally play the guitar (badly) and sing a bit, I'll leave that to those with actual talent!
