Julie Forester
Welcome
I studied at a UK university for four years, graduating with a first-class honours bachelor's degree.
Following the publication of my first book, a series of personal events prompted me to re-evaluate my career and priorities. In 2021, drawing on 28 years of professional experience, I transitioned into freelance editing.
Alongside this, I combined my formal training in painting and drawing with my editorial expertise to create graphic design artwork for paperback and eBook covers.
I haven't looked back and have been privileged to work with many wonderful authors over the years.
Here in the UK, the Chartered Institute of Editing and Proofreading (CIEP) is the gold-standard professional body for editors and proofreaders, and a recommended starting point when searching for a qualified, experienced editor.

My life has been action-packed, filled with thrill-seeking experiences: motorcycle trail riding, stand-up jet skiing, water skiing, RYA Advanced Powerboating, competitive fencing, karate, scuba diving, and learning to fly an aeroplane. I even considered a career as a stunt double.
Today, my wife and I, along with our rescue cat, Poppy, live just north of London, within walking distance of beautiful countryside and a canal-side stroll.
Oh, and although I occasionally play the guitar (badly) and sing a bit, I leave that to people with actual talent.
