⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A. Roller. Coaster.

The synopsis does not do this book justice. It comes at you from all different angles. It has mystery, angst, romance and of course martinis!!! I loved the switching POVS to bring the characters into Jamie's story and want more of Linny!! Poor Jamie there are so many nefarious people around her I actually found myself shouting at the book!!! ......and the ending........ I NEED the sequel. Extra points for Julie sliding into my DMs to market this gem to me!! For once I was not disappointed!!! ADD TO YOUR READING LIST !

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ You will care what happens to these characters.

Marmalade Martini is a fast-paced read with well-developed characters, multiple plot lines and a few surprises. Every character elicits a response...either love, like or loathing. The relationships are well written, layered and textured. The love scenes are understated, which makes them all the more sensuous. The book begs for a sequel, which I hope is forthcoming soon. This is the first time I had encountered this author and I would now read anything she writes.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 🍸Sassy lead Character!

I liked the idea of a female architect and her struggle to be who she wanted to be.
The sexism is outrageous, but sadly it's all too real from old school men. Looking forward to the follow up! A sassy lead character, with a great sister.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The plot continued to thicken and captivate!

I wrote this, as I was ashamed of the Amazon review I gave being so brief. I’ve just read some of your other reviews and mine does not compare.

When I finished reading your book, I was sad it had ended. I wanted to know what happened from that point into the future. You are very good at developing the characters and I really like the way you developed the relationship between Jamie and her sister. I loved it that she really came in to bat for Jamie and royally shafted the bad guys.

I would be happy to recommend Marmalade Martini to anyone. I think it’s very classy as any of the sexual encounters are left to the imagination. I’ve not read any lesbian literature before, so I have nothing to compare it to. You had better hurry up with the sequel Rock and Rhubarb!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐This book read like a soap opera on speed!

A few spoilers...

I had mixed feelings whilst reading this story but after starting it yesterday and finishing it at 03:40am this morning I guess I have to conclude that the story grabbed my attention and I loved it. It is well written, and the characters are interesting, however for a woman (Jamie) who is as successful as the author leads us to believe, I was surprised that she agreed to meet a client at the weekend. Surely she have made him wait until Monday and not come across as being desperate for work? After meeting the client and feeling very uncomfortable in his presence, we are led to believe that this intelligent woman would accept the commission, and more unbelievable allow herself to return to the client's home without taking someone with her. Yes she was advised that others would be present, but I wouldn't have trusted the creepy client.

I did love the relationship between Jamie and her sister (Linda), although again we are given a twist to their relationship. Although why would Jamie ever allow herself to keep her friendship with Alex and even want to meet up with her evil ex was beyond me.

I loved Kate's personality and she came across as the grown up (along with Linda). Her back story was again not so straight forward, but by the time this was told to me, I was already hooked on the story.

I hope there is a sequel and it will be published very soon.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Brilliantly written

I love this book! It was brilliantly written. There were twist and turns between characters with each having their own sense of humor and seriousness. It was captivating and made you want to standup for the character being hurt or intimated. You held your own cheering section. Sort of showed you how to stand against a bully.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A must read!

This book had me hooked straight away. Julie describes the characters so well that you feel like you're on their journey with them, Jamie especially, just wanting the best things for her. And you certainly want to visit Alchemy & try a Marmalade Martini! There are lots of twists and turns in the book that keep you intrigued as to what's coming up on the next pages. I'm a sucker for romance and this story certainly didn't disappoint. It's also very educational because of the level of detail Julie has put into everything she's written about. The best thing about a book for me is when you can visualise a character and their setting - I actually felt like I was walking the streets of London taking it all in!

A fantastic first book by Julie and looking forward to the next one.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Miscommunication with a twist

With a title like Marmalade Martini I wasn’t sure what would be in store, but it was a ride. In depth story with some twists and turns. A bit dark sometimes but it enhanced the story. Characters were well developed and all around fast paced read. Seems like there might be another book which I’ll definitely keep an eye out for.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I really loved this book.

This book keeps you on the edge of your seat. There are twist and turns that keep you hoping for the character and wanting to defend her. Things are not as they seem. Sort of followers real life. Want to know the end? You will have to buy it and read for yourself. You won't be dismayed. I am hoping for a second one some day. Enjoy.
