⭐⭐⭐⭐Characters I'd like to hang out with!
I read the Marmalade Martini slowly on purpose! The author does such a great job of drawing the reader into the setting that I wanted to sit at the bar at Alchemy and sip that martini while I watched the action unfold. Jamie is a fun character on a bumpy road to discovering who her friends really are. There are enough twists and turns that's she's stumped by the past, by mysteries and situations that don't have easy explanations, and by her own nature. The story is realistic and the end is full of surprises. I wished I'd had this book on vacation instead of during Covid quarantine but it proved to be a good escape for either! I've read the author has a sequel underway, which is great news! Can't wait to see where Jamie lands next. My one request? A recipe for the title beverage.

Well written. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Couldn't put it down. Not your typical and predictable lesbian novel. Great story lines merging effortlessly.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Enthralling from start to finish
Travel with Jamie through London, captivating and lost within her world with the first few pages. Humour, and great writing by Julie looking forward to the next book. Purchased a second copy for a friend’s birthday (awesome read and will make a great present)

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very enjoyable
This is a great debut novel. The writing is engaging and well-written. I wizzed through it and it usually takes me a while to finish books. Excellent stuff and I’m looking forward to the sequel (maybe/hopefully?)

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ It was amazing!
I first read Maggie Turner's comments, which was one if the early reviews for this novel. This was a great review, but they just seem to get better and better. This is absolutely a must read novel. Crying out for a sequel. Don't let this one escape your reading list.
